After Lucifer was created, he became so prideful about his
beauty that he believed he could be just like God.
It is no coincidence that the middle letter in the word 'pride'
is the letter “I”
But what is “Pride” according to the Bible?
And what is its connection to SIN?
Just like Lucifer, whenever we exalt ourselves
by our accomplishments, money, power, beauty,
intelligence or a variety of other things,
then we lay out a web for ourselves that
will entangle us in its evil net.
And even more egregious, when we are proud of our sin,
the Bible says that net we will fall into will
eventually lead to our destruction.
Instead, heed the exhortation of Micah 6:8
“To walk HUMBLY with God.”
Friend, people that practice
true Love are not “Puffed Up”
(1 Corinthians 13:4) so consider this for
living your life and 'passing through it safely'
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition (or desires)
or vain conceit,
but in humility consider others
better than yourselves.”
Phillipians 2:3
Evil wears many faces, therefore it’s important to understand
its many manifestations. All EVIL
is sin, and all SIN is wicked,
offensive, destructive, and pernicious, but there is one sin in
particular that is the origin of all sin, and that is PRIDE.
