There Are
Better Gods
Than god

Existentialism, Atheism, Nihilism, Humanism, Communism and other movements are all popular themes in the world today. In their own way each is championing an emerging era promising 'Hope' & 'Change' and a “New Age” of a united, peaceful 'new world order' of advanced technology and human enlightenment and freedom. While all these ideas vary in one idea or another, they all agree on one key point.

THERE IS NO NEED FOR 'god.'

As today’s scripture says, the broad sweep of these movements (which briefly shone during the age of enlightenment in the French revolution) - as this verse appropriately proclaimed - have “Recently appeared.” So while all these appear to be noble, are they possible without God? That is, is “Impeaching God” a Good Idea?

The Old Testament prophet Ecclesiastes famously said, “There is nothing new under the sun༩” so this idea of seeking other gods (or ways) as a means to a better world are not new, and as history has repeatedly shown — as well meaning these plans are — they never come to pass.

On the other hand, John 17:3 gives us this assurance, saying:

“And this is life eternal,
that they might know thee
THE ONLY TRUE GOD
and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.”

Friend, you are free to believe or NOT BELIEVE that God IS or there is no need for him in this world today. That’s your Choice, so ...

“If it seem EVIL unto you to serve the LORD,
choose you this day
WHOM ye will serve.”
Joshua 24:15
