It looks like NOT VERY WELL! What was supposed to be the liberating breakthrough philosophy for living has manifested a world of immorality, addiction, and rebellion. Through the practice of these acts of self-indulgence, our world has become more self-centered and less God-centered, just as the Bible predicted 2,000 years ago when it said:
“There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be
lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive,
disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love,
unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal,
not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited,
lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.”
2 Timothy 3:1-4
These are indeed the “last days of world history” and if you pick up any newspaper or
tune to a channel it is just as if the Apostle Timothy wrote the leading story
for tonday’s news two millenniums ago. The great Russian writer Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
put it another way about his country which is easily applied to the entire world - “A great disaster had befallen Russia: Men have forgotten God; that’s why all this has happened.”
Our modern world indeed has fallen because we have forgotten God and turned to our
own wicked ways. The bad news is that this revolution of rebellion which started in the 60’s
is not going to get any better because people and societies world-wide continue to embrace
this philosophy of self-indulgence. As a result the world is indeed headed towards
darker days and destruction...just like the Bible has proclaimed.
Friend, Jesus Christ is the LORD and at a time coming soon, the world will have to answer
for the consequences of this dangerous philosophy, but there is a way of escape and deliverence!
The GOOD NEWS is that Christ came to save us from sin and deliver us out of this
evil world in which we now live. The Bible promises those that put their
allegiance to Christ to be “rescued...from the domain of darkness and
transferred...into the kingdom of the Son.” (Colossians 1:13)
Instead of Sex, Drugs and Rock & Roll, seek HIS Peace, Love, and Salvation.
Make your choice today to follow Christ.
Time is running short and the day of decision is coming. Make that decision now
before it is too late.
