Has Your Number
Been Called Yet?

“Remind me how brief my time on earth will be.
Remind me that my days are numbered (and)
how fleeting my life is.”

Psalm 39:4

Did you know that each of us has a final number of the days we will have in this life, and that one day that number will be called? Our time here is limited, and when ‘your number comes up’ it comes up! Have you ever honestly asked yourself.....THEN WHAT?!?

As the end of today’s verse says, our days on this planet are ‘fleeting’ – that is they are like an early morning fog that is and then quickly gone. While we are here, we may just assume that tomorrow we will simply add another “1” to our total day-count, but eventually you will reach that last number. Until that day arrives, doesn’t it make sense to use our days wisely “redeeming the time” (Colossians 4:5) both towards ourselves and others?

Psalm 90:12 puts it this way:
“ Teach us to number our days,
that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”

What is your number? Today, the total number of days I have been alive is 24,163! What about you? Will you let your days expire and not make a decision about eternity? Click on the link below to find out the total number of days you have been alive, but don’t assume you can add another “1” to your number because tomorrow’s number may NOT come up!
