View Others Through
The Eyes of Jesus

What do you see when you look at others? Are your thoughts positive and non-judgmental or are they negative, critical or maybe even a bit jealous?

When we truly open our eyes and look through the eyes of Jesus, we begin to open our hearts and minds to the compassion of Jesus, who is full of love and mercy for each of us. How very important it is for us to pray and ask the Holy Spirit to let us see everyone through the eyes of Jesus. When we do this, we will have not one negative thought or reaction toward a person. If we all practiced even this trait of Jesus, what a wonderful world this would be!

Jesus sees all of us as His creation, and He loves even those who don’t know yet who He is, so no matter where someone is in their spiritual growth we are to honor that person.

Apostle Paul encourages us when he writes:

Unfortunately, we live in a fallen world and we all have our own flaws and weaknesses in some area of our life. With the help of the Holy Spirit, He can help and correct us when we fail to see others through the Lord’s eyes. The Lord is patient with us, so we must be patient with others.

My prayer is for each of us to remember that there is good in everyone, no matter who it may be. May the compassion of Jesus reach down deep inside of us and help us see everyone through His eyes.
