Victory out of Defeat

But thanks be to God, which giveth us
the victory
through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:57

Imagine for a moment and picture Jesus at the Crucifixion.

Hear the sound of a hammer pounding into his wrists and feet, Christ's naked and bloody body hanging on the cross, and the throngs crying in disbelief that their Messiah was going to die a horrible death. It looked like Satan won, that the so-called Savior-of-the-World would not set up his kingdom and instead die a humiliating death.

However what Satan intended as the ultimate EVIL, God used for the ultimate GOOD. Jesus was pronounced dead and laid in a tomb. It looked like Satan had won.

However for Satan, something totally unexpected happened when the rock was rolled away and Christ emerged glowing in Glory and left the Devil frantically wondering, “What Happened?!? What do I do now?” “Will I ever win?” The GOOD NEWS (that is the meaning of the WORD Gospel!) is No… he won’t!

The fact is that evil is never beyond God’s loving protection, and that despite whatever the circumstances, He can redeem every horrible pit we encounter...including the one you may currently find yourself in.

Trust God. He will get you through this. Will it be easy or quick? I hope so, but it may take time. One thing is for sure, everything in this life is temporary, my friend, and God will make good out of what every you are going through.

An old hymn says, “Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face. And the things on earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and Grace.” Thank Him for taking care of you and for carrying your burden on His shoulders right now, even before you have received your answer. He is God Almighty and He says so.

“I am the LORD, the God of all mankind.
Is anything too hard for me?

Jeremiah 32:27

Remember, despite whatever just happened to you God can bring victory. Be patient and trust him. He never will leave or forsake us.
