There are some amazing treasures written in God’s Word. These treasures are available for all of us who search for them. They are the keys to a holy, glorious and fulfilled life. A life once you find it, you would never trade for anything! When you truly search for these treasures God will give them to you.
King David wrote this about the treasures he found; “The words of the LORD are pure words, like silver tried in the furnace of earth, purified seven times.” (Proverbs 12:6.) Think about that!
Actually, God’s hidden treasures are not special secrets kept for only certain people. Our Father wants all of us to know Him and His Word deeply and intimately. Just as it takes time to know someone very well, time to come to know what they think and feel, so it is in knowing the Lord. It is the same with God’s Word. We may not completely comprehend it at first, but reading and studying it with diligence, we will. It’s all about paying attention and contemplating what the Lord is teaching us, because we are at different levels as we grow in Him.
Each time I read the scriptures I gain a deeper meaning. Sometimes a light bulb goes off and I suddenly might say, “Wow, I get it! I never understood what this meant before!” The scripture is always the same, but for the ‘first time’ I’d actually understand it, and then I get excited to discover another new hidden treasure.
The more you read and study God’s Word, the more the Holy Spirit will reveal God’s truth to you and the deeper it will draw you. You will see that Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship with the living God and His Son, Jesus, and he talks to us through his WORD. Do this faithfully and you will uncover the richest treasures you never realized before. You will find yourself hungry to learn more and more, and you will long to spend time with God through this important love letter to you his child.
My friend, the most important thing I want to share with you is this; when you search down deep into God’s Word, you will find that all the hidden knowledge always points to Jesus and the cross. As a matter of fact, the entire Bible from start to finish points us to Jesus and what He did when He died to save us from our sins. The insights we get in this are perfectly summed up in this verse:
“For the Word of God is living and powerful, and
sharper than any two- edged sword, piercing even to the
division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is
a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Hebrews 4:12
If you have NOT accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, would you do it now in this prayer?!?
Dear Lord, I want to discover the hidden treasures in your Holy Bible. It’s really hard to believe that someone would die for the whole world, but especially for ME and I am so glad you did. Please forgive me of all my sins. I want to really know you personally, so please come into my heart right now and save me, so I can live forever in heaven with you. In Jesus name, Amen
God Bless Your Day
