Blowing With
The Wind

In every time, generation, and season - like a breeze that seemingly comes out of nowhere - popular trends come and go. Many are innocent - like styles of clothing, music, or hairstyles, but others lead people into ways of thinking and acting causing confusion, conflict and controversy.

Following the crowd is easy when the wind is at everyone’s back, but as today’s word from the Apostle Paul warns, it is vital to determine if that wind is blowing your mind, thinking and actions in ways that lead to error.

In particular, popular social trends propagated in a politically-correct, media-intense world are powerful winds strongly affecting people to act, say, and behave in ways contrary to godliness, righteousness — and even common sense! Again, Paul adamantly warned of this danger saying,

“Beware lest any man spoil you through
philosophy and VAIN DECEIT,
after the tradition of men,
after the rudiments of the world and
NOT after Christ.”
Colossians 2:8

Just because 'Times May Be A Changin' doesn’t mean that truth and the answers for today are also 'Blowin’ In The Wind.' (Bob Dylan) Instead, “Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and ACCEPTABLE, and PERFECT, will of God.”
